Volunteering for CR United

CR United SC is a fully based volunteer run club. We realize the importance of volunteers to have an affordable opportunity for our players and members. Below are guidelines regarding the volunteer requirements for each player's family.

Current Open Volunteer Opportunities

Weekday Concession Stand
Fall 2019 Hours: Monday - Thursday 6 - 8 pm

Recreational/Comp Prep Program Volunteer Requirements

  • 2 volunteer hours per family
  • Volunteer hours must be completed by the end of the registered session
    • Mid-October for the fall session
    • July 31st for the summer session
  • Volunteer hours are fulfilled in concession stand, tournaments and other events hosted by CR United SC

Competitive Program Volunteer Requirements

  • $300 deposit check maximum per family
    • The check will be shredded upon completion of the required volunteer hours
  • 6 volunteer hours per family
  • Volunteer hours must be completed by July 31st of the registered session (August 1 - July 31)
  • Volunteer hours are fulfilled in concession stand, tournaments and other events hosted by CR United SC

Other Notes:

  • Head/Assistant Coaches (either recreation or competitive), Team Managers, Board Members, and Committee Members do not need a deposit or to complete other volunteer hours as these roles more than fulfill the volunteer requirement.
  • Volunteer hours can be completed by a family member, relative, or friend on behalf of the player. Volunteers must be at least 16 to work in the concession stand.
    • Younger volunteers can be accommodated for certain other opportunities such as TOP Soccer
  • Volunteer hours do not carry over from the previous season/registered year.
  • Volunteers must complete their entire volunteer obligation in order to NOT have their volunteer deposit check cashed.
    • Partial completion of hours will not result in partial return of volunteer deposit and hours do not carry over to the next season
  • There will be no exceptions. Every family must submit a deposit check and accept the volunteer agreement during registration.
  • Players will NOT be allowed to play until the deposit check and this signed volunteer agreement have been received (player passes will be suspended/inactivated)
  • Volunteer opportunities will be posted via the website, and emails will be sent notifying families when volunteer opportunities become available. Please sign up for your hours online via the website.

FUNDRAISING: Hands of the Kingdom

Hands of the Kingdom Fundraising

*Participation in this program is NOT required and does not fulfill the required volunteer hours.*

Hands of the Kingdom (HOK)
is a non-profit group that organizes concessions sales at various events around the Twin Cities.  Some venues require training, others do not.  The amounts earned per event/venue vary.  Once you have worked, you submit a form to request disbursement and the check is sent once the funds have been donated.  This will not impact any taxable income for you, as, HOK is non-profit and the funds are going to another non-profit (CR United).

Below are multiple opportunities for fundraising. Please direct any questions to Adam (Hands of the Kingdom) via the clicked link.

CR United Soccer Club is not the coordinator or organizer of any of these events. These are opportunities managed by Hands of the Kingdom that can help reduce the cost of soccer registration fees and help every kid play soccer through reducing financial burdens.

Allianz Stadium

  • There are just five events left in September before the Tommie-Johnnie game in October. As the weather cools off, HOK should start to get busier in CafĂ© Beignet. Please sign up for any dates that work for you, as HOK may also be able to fill additional spots with Totino Grace locations.

Target Field

  • Crowds have been big and donations have been good, so take a look at the remaining games, as Target Field will definitely need volunteers as many students who work there go back to school!

Target Center

  • The Wolves schedule will be posted in the coming week, so check back to the link and get signed up early for games that work for you. HOK plans to coordinate again with Totino Grace this season in the Chicken/Pagoda stand.

TCF Bank Stadium

  • As a reminder, HOK can have an unlimited number of minors in their stand since they do not serve alcohol. Because of the limited staffing number, the initial requirement is that every minor must be accompanied by one adult. Indicate in the comments if you have additional minors (and how many), which HOK will open up if available and necessary.

US Bank Stadium

  • Previously, HOK only volunteered at US Bank Stadium if Totino Grace had available spots or for non-Vikings events, like the Garth Brooks concert. US Bank is open to HOK providing volunteers on an "as needed/as available" basis, so HOK will be posting the schedule this week. Sign up for games you are interested in and HOK will see if there are needs!
