FAQ
- Sessions will be played during inclement weather, with the exception of lightning or poor field conditions.
- If anyone sees lightning during a session, immediately evacuate the fields and seek shelter.
- Aside from active lightning, only the Rec Director can cancel soccer due to weather conditions.
- Weather cancellations will be sent through email ASAP; no later than one hour before a session.
- Sessions cancelled due to weather conditions will not be rescheduled.
- If you are uncertain about the weather, please contact your coach.
CR United follows Minnesota Youth Soccer Association guidelines for age group levels. The website registration is automatically set to only allow appropriate age(or available play up) divisions available for registration.
Our goal is to make the soccer experience fun and fair so we will only allow up to 2 requests per team, on a first come, first served basis and will have NO guarantees. All the children are on the same area of fields during play and will see others they know. After rosters are posted there will be NO changes. Team formation is not a quick process and changes after the fact can cause confusion to children/players and coaches. No refund requests will be honored due to not receiving a buddy request.
Special consideration may be granted for the following circumstances and requests must be submitted on original registration to be considered:
- For a sibling or relative. If the children are in two different age groups, the younger child must play up to the older child’s age group.
- For co-coaching arrangements.
- For new players to the program. New players should note this in their comments when registering.
Teams will be made one week prior to the season, this depends on registration numbers and response of volunteer coaches prior to this time. Schedules will be sent shortly thereafter, if not at the same time.
CRU coaches are volunteers. However, all coaches and players are monitored by the full-time Director of Coaching and Player Development (DOC). The DOC ensures that coaches are teaching your children the correct information and in an age appropriate manner. CRU is dedicated to the improvement of its players, coaches and teams. If you are interested in becoming a coach please contact the Rec Director.
